How to attach drill stops to drills and handpieces

Guided Surgery Solutions custom designs and makes disposable drill stops to accommodate most standard dental implant drills. See below or download a printable instruction that illustrates the assembly procedures for your drill type:

  1. Straight drills: Insert the drill into the handpiece, then slide the drill stop over the drill. It will stop against the bottom of the handpiece
  2. Hub with overmount: Attach the drill stop over the drill shank as depicted before inserting the drill shaft into the handpiece. It will stop against the bottom of the handpiece
  3. Hub with undermount: Insert the drill shank into the handpiece, then slide the drill stop over the drill. It will stop against the hub
  4. Drill extender (for straight or overmount drills): Insert the drill extender into the handpiece, attach the drill stop over the drill extender, and insert the drill shaft into the drill extender
